Once you join, to register, follow the simple steps online or download the Kaiser Permanente app. You’ll need your health/medical record number, which you'll receive in the mail and find on your member ID card.

Find a doctor who’s right for you. Start by selecting a convenient facility, then browse our online doctor profiles. You can search by gender, languages spoken, education, and more. Each covered family member can choose their own personal doctor. You can also change your doctor at any time. |
It’s easy to move your prescriptions to Kaiser Permanente or discuss them with a doctor, so you’ll have what you need to reach your health goals. *This number can be dialed inside and outside the United States. Before the phone number, dial “001” for landlines and “+1” for mobile lines if you’re outside the United States. Long-distance charges may apply, and we can’t accept collect calls. The phone line is closed on major holidays (New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, July Fourth, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas). It closes early the day before a holiday at 10 p.m. Pacific time (PT), and it reopens the day after a holiday at 4 a.m. PT.
Starting in August, getting care while traveling is about to get easier.
Kaiser Permanente’s agreement with Cigna will provide more convenient access to care while traveling
As more members return to traveling on business trips, to visit family and for vacation, the last thing they want to worry about while away from home is how to get good health care. That’s why beginning in August Kaiser Permanente HMO and EPO members will have access to Cigna’s national network of physicians and providers, should they need emergency or urgent care during their travels away from home.
This new agreement with Cigna’s U.S. provider network and our new kp.org/getcare options, which provide 24/7 access to care by Kaiser Permanente health care professionals by phone or video, members will have even more ways to get care how and when they need it – virtually and in person.
